1. ใช้ some ในประโยคบอกเล่า และ any ในประโยคปฏิเสธและคำถาม ซึ่งทั้ง 2 คำนี้เป็นได้ทั้งคุณศัพท์และสรรพนาม

ตัวอย่างการใช้ some 

I have some money.

She needs some food.

ตัวอย่างการใช้ any

I do not have any money.

2.ใช้ some ในประโยคคำถามและปฏิเสธก็ได้ในกรณีเปรียบเทียบและมีความหมายเป็นพิเศษ

3.ใช้ any ในประโยคบอกเล่าได้ มีความหมายว่าไม่มีข้อยกเว้น แปลว่าคนไหนก็ได้ อะไรก็ได้ ตัวไหนก็ได้
